October 1983 at WIPS/WXTY in Ticonderoga, NY

 What are your interests?

Hanging out with my family.  Going to hockey games, playing golf, going to KISS concerts, collecting old New England Patriots and KISS memorabilia.

Slapshot, The Blues Brothers, Step Brothers, Hollywood Knights, Anchorman, The Sound Of Music

What are your favorite TV shows?

24, American Pickers, Swamp People, Storage Wars, Bones, Modern Family, Survivor, The Amazing Race

Who are your favorite recording artists?

KISS, Van Halen, Beatles, AC/DC, Prince, Tom Jones, Jan & Dean

What are your favorite concerts?

Michael Jackson – The Bad Tour, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band – Born In The Usa Tour, KISS – any tour!

What are your favorite sports teams?

New England Patriots, New York Yankees, New York Rangers, any team that calls the Glens Falls Civic Center home and the Adirondack Barking Spiders

What are your favorite foods?

Yes!  Chili, Spaghetti, Pizza, Hot Dog Charlies, Ted’s Fish Fry

What is your nickname or nicknames?

Doc, Doctor, Hey You, Uncle Dan, Hammer, Hondo, I always wanted to be called that

What are your pet or pet’s names?

Unfortunately, our two cats of over 17 years recently passed away.

What is the one thing you shouldn’t tell us about you?

I have let my granddaughter, Sophia, paint my toe nails more than once!

What is the weirdest thing to happen to you while on the air?

Christmas Eve ’84.  I was on the air on X-104, WXTY in Ticonderoga.  A woman called and requested the Chewbacca Christmas song, What Can You Get A Wookie for Chrsitmas? I told her I didn’t have the song.  She didn’t like that answer and said she was going to kill me.  Shoot me dead!  She called a half dozen times to let me know of that.  Thankfully, the cops got her before she got me!

Who were your inspirations to be on the air?

Boom Boom Brannigan, Casey Kasem, Rick Dees, Rick Knight and Doctor Johnny Fever

What is an unknown fact or two about you?

I was a student of the year in ’85 at SUNY/Adirondack.  I once played the lead in the musical Oliver!  I am in The Whitehall Boot Hockey Hall Of Fame.

Who would you like to play you in the movie of your life?

Jim Belushi.  If not him, Morgan Freeman!
