Basketball Team as a manager and Drama Club.

How long have you been with WCKM/HITS/WWSC?

18 years.

When and where did you get your start in professional radio?

Board Operator for WOBM-AM in Howell, New Jersey. September, 1988.

What has been the best moment you’ve had while on air?

Calling play by play of 1 professional and 4 high school teams winning league and state championships.

What are your interests?

Cooking, gardening, watching sports and playing golf.

Who were your radio influences growing up?

Don Imus, Scott Shannon, Dan Ingram, Charles Laquidera, and Jim Gordon.

How did you get into the radio business?

Went to college for it.

What would you be doing if you weren’t in radio?

Doing animated cartoon voice work or owning a restaurant.

What do you like to do on you day off?

Relax at home or just do something spur of the moment

What is your favorite concert you attended at SPAC?

Huey Lewis and the News during their “Hard at Play” tour in either 1992 or 1993.

What are your favorite TV shows?

Don’t have a favorite show, but I like to watch the Travel Channel, Food Network and Cooking Channels, Golf Channel and Big 10 Network

Who are your favorite recording artists?

Huey Lewis and The News, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Rolling Stones..

What are you favorite sports teams?

NY Rangers, NY Giants, NY Mets and Rutgers University Football and Basketball.

What is you karaoke song?

“What I Like About You” by The Romantics.

What are your favorite and least favorite food(s)?

Favorite foods are pizza, shrimp, pasta, peanut butter, and chocolate. I dislike sushi, any seafood served raw, guacamole, and green beans.

What are your pet or pet’s names?

I have a female black cat named Meow.

What is the one thing you shouldn’t tell us about you?

I took ballroom dancing in high school gym class

What is the weirdest thing to happen to you while on the air?

I had the phone system completely melt down the one Saturday night I ran the board for an Adirondack Icehawks game.  We ended up having to install a completely new system two days later

If you could be someone else on staff for just one day, who would it be and why?

Mike Dubray. He’s got this certain charm I can’t explain that women find so appealing and he seems to know everyone.

What is something not a lot of people know about you?

I did the chef for a day program at The Sagamore in the pasty department making desserts.

What is one thing that would surprise the listeners about you?

I’ve started brewing my own beer from a kit I got as a Christmas present.

What is your favorite local place to go?

Craft beverages places, like breweries, cider houses and distilleries and learning how they make and sampling their products.  Local golf courses and the Civic Center or C.I.A as it is now known.

If you could pick where you could go locally on vacation, where would you go?

The Sagamore.

Who would you like to play you in the movie of your life?

Ryan Reynolds or Matthew McConaughey.

If you won the lottery, what would be your first purchase?

I would endow a scholarship in my parents name at the college where they met.

What is your favorite thing about the community?

They have this incredible ability to give to help the less fortunate.

What advice do you have for aspiring radio DJs?

Be patient developing your on air persona and try to learn every aspect of the business to understand it better.
