Since day 1.

Glens Falls High.
Back in your high school days, what groups/organizations or teams did you belong to?
Drama, AV and morning announcers.
How did you get into the radio business?
Helping the DJs at WSET.
When and where did you get your start in professional radio?
1965 WWSCAM Saturday nights 6pm-midnight. The first 100% Top 40 Rock & Roll show on AM in the area, outside of Albany.
Who were you radio influences?
Dean Pankhurst, Barry Stagers and Don Weaver.
What are your interests?
Work, Sleep, & Back to Work – I am old. I also enjoy producing concerts & theater shows and photography.
What was your favorite concert you attended at CIA/GFCC?
All the ones we produced.
What was your favorite concert you attended at SPAC?
Bob Segart and John Fogerty.
What are your favorite movies?
Hollywood Knights & James Bond Films — I’ve seen ‘em all (except Skyfall, but I’m planning on that one!)
What are your favorite TV shows?
‘Home construction/building shows and how-to/how-its-made style shows and Two and a Half Men. I’ve never seen Friends.
Name three movies that are a ‘must watch’ for you.
Blues Brothers, Hollywood Knight and Animal House.
Who are your favorite recording artists?
The Stones, The Beatles, and all the great top 40 artists of the 60’s!
What are your favorite concerts?
Led Zeppelin, The Stones, and Tony DeSare in Vegas
What is your karaoke song?
A Horse With No Name and Mocking Bird.
What are your favorite sports teams?
Back in the day, The Brooklyn Dodgers. Nowadays, The Pats!
What are your favorite and least favorite food(s)?
Beef and Italian dishes and a nice side salad. Sometimes I enjoy a good bowl of chili. I won’t eat liver or any dishes with snake in them.
What are your pet or pet’s names?
Bentley & Baxter.
If you could pick where you could go locally on vacation, where would you go?
The Clearview Motel.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in radio?
If you won the lottery, what would be your first purchase?
More lottery tickets.
Where is your favorite local place to go?
Places that have food and adult beverages.
What is the one thing you shouldn’t tell us about you?
I am trying to keep a low profile in the Witness Protection Program
What is the weirdest thing to happen to you while on the air?
The time a crazy sales rep at WWSC decided to “perform” on the counter while I was on the air. That or the time we blew smoke up through Don Metiver’s control board to make him think it was on fire. He was doing sports and tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher.
Who were your inspirations to be on the air?
Barry Steigers and Dean Parkhurst of WSET AM in Glens Falls in the mid 50’s
What is something not a lot of people know about you?
I was found in a reed boat by my parents who were out hunting frogs.

What is your favorite thing about the community?
The people. When things are bad or folks need something, they help and they care!
What advice do you have for aspiring radio DJs?
Have a backup profession!
